About Cold Email Lab

Cold Email Lab is an independent publication that reviews and compares the software B2B teams use for outbound sales: lead databases, cold email senders, multichannel sequencers, and the CRMs that tie them together.

Why this site exists

Search for "best cold email tool" and you'll find dozens of near-identical listicles, most of them written to rank in Google rather than to help you choose, and many of them recycling vendor marketing word for word. Choosing outreach software is a real decision with real money attached. The wrong pick costs a small team hundreds of dollars a month and, worse, months of a sales motion that doesn't work.

We started Cold Email Lab to publish the resource we wished existed: comparisons with verified, dated pricing, weaknesses listed for every tool, and clear guidance on who each product is actually built for, including when the honest answer is "the free plan is enough" or "you don't need this category of tool at all."

How we work

Every claim on this site traces to a source: the vendor's own public pricing and documentation, product changelogs, or aggregated verified user feedback. When a recommendation is based on research rather than our own hands-on use, we say so; when we test a tool ourselves, the review states what we tested and how. Pricing information is dated so you know exactly when it was checked.

The site is funded through affiliate partnerships with some of the vendors we cover, a model that only works long term if readers can trust the recommendations. How we keep those two things separate is documented in our affiliate disclosure.

Who we are

Cold Email Lab is a small independent publishing project. We keep the byline on the work rather than on personalities, and we'd rather be judged on the research standards above than on a name or a face. If you want to know more, challenge something we've written, or suggest a tool to cover, get in touch. We answer.
